It was pouring with rain on the day I visited. However, it made the experience all the more magical. Clear waters, mysterious low clouds and mist in the surrounding mountains, birds, and devoid of crowds. Absolutely wonderful!
Interesting to see.
interesting place
A submerged bridge located at the downstream end of the Shimanto River. There is a parking lot and there are blue signs for information, so it is probably the most familiar submerged bridge for tourists.
The view of the Shimanto River from the submerged bridge is so majestic and beautiful that you can gaze at it forever.
Isn't it a luxurious way to spend your time watching the river flow and forgetting about time?
Sada Submerged Bridge (Imanari Bridge) is the longest submerged bridge at the downstream of the Shimanto River. A ``submerged bridge'' is a bridge that was designed to be submerged underwater, without any handrails, to prevent it from being washed away when the water rises, so it can be said to be one of the symbolic views of Shimanto. Therefore, it can be said that it is the most familiar submerged bridge among tourists, so it is said to be crowded with many tourists during the tourist season. Construction date: 1971, total length: 291.6m, width: 4.2m. Oncoming cars barely pass each other. Please be careful of tourists when driving your vehicle across this bridge.
I went on Saturday morning around 8:30. It rained yesterday, but the river was clear and not cloudy. You can cross by car, but I walked. The scenery was nice, the water was clean, and it felt really good. I thought it would be nice to cross by bicycle.
Visited on December 29th. Anyway, the air is delicious? (lol) The scenery is nice. The clarity of the river is also good. There is a cafe. Delicious❗Next time will be decided in summer❗
From Kumamoto Traveler.
Total length 291.6 meters. "Sinkabashi" has a width of 4.2 meters and has a slightly wider path. Built in 1972.
This place has its own parking lot and toilets, so it is a popular place for tourists.
There is also a ``cafe'' at the end of the submerged bridge, so if you have time, you can relax.
